Dogs update
Ginger has passed away, we will miss her forever.
About two years since our latest post,
Walking the streets with Moon felt lonely.
Moon’s size and energy makes it hard to find playmates.
and so after about a year of hardship Baggira came into our lives.
She was laying there, wagging that tail for Moon and only for Moon.

As it happened: We (me and Moon) were walking on Bialik st’.
Moon was very aggressive towards other dogs on the street and rarely did I dare to approach even the willing pups, for we have had some bad experience before.
Maybe a small digression here to mention the time when he nearly took my finger off. my fault of course I shouldn’t have tried to take that small dog out of his mouth. *small dog is fine, my fingers recovered in 2 months, still have some scars there. So yeah, walking moon around town after that incident was hard – him pulling endlessly and me not taking the chances of approaching happy puppies for playtime. I felt that this is not fair to Moon.
Back to Bialik st’, walking, smelling, marking, pulling.. And there she was sitting on the other side of the street. a brown mutt seems delicate with loving eyes wagging her tail.
Moon was eager to meet her but I didn’t trust him – not after that incident.
And yet – across the gulf of the street road there she was, wagging that tail – something about her made me think that this could work.
Still hesitant I waited to see her moves. She lay down on her side wagging the tail stronger and left me with no doubt, it’s play time.
We approached slowly..
It’s on! Sniffing and licking, jumping and barking – doggy excitement mode activated. That’s so nice.. I let them play for a long while right there where they met. and then I felt like it’s time to go back. she persists – following Moon like a second tail.
O.K. Cute puppy, we’re going home now – go away, go about your business.
Baggira: “No, I think I’m in love!”
Moon: “Daddy she’s cute, can we keep her?”
Me: “oh Moon, she probably has an owner and a house”
Moon: “O.K daddy”
Baggira: “Hey, I’m not a toy that you get to keep or throw R>E>S>P>E>C>T.”
Me: “Yes you are, go away, good bye”.
End of day, Moon had a new friend – I’m happy.
Night came, scratches on the door – Darling, I think the neighbors want something.. Then the door opened and in she came to claim her new home with Moon. I had to walk her out later cause she wouldn’t leave and I was worrying her owner will miss her. (I have learned since that she has a partial owner from the hood but she’s a free roaming puppy.).
The next night she came straight to our house – did I mention she can open doors on her own? well yes. I came back home to find the door open with both dogs gone. Terror struck me. I run downstairs to find them playing happily in the parking area.
Basically she never left since then. I got to talk to the owner and explain that she fell in love with Moon. He understood – Love is above all. he takes her out once in a while, she misses the old hood so we go there a lot.
So now I have a Guardian and a Hunter following me around, Moon is not lonely any more and I need to get a sledge.
Have a lovely day!
